Focus: Stewardship Education and Training: Implementing a Year-Round Stewardship Program

Vision: We see St. Gabriel’s as a dynamic spiritual community where all Members, clergy, vestry and parishioners demonstrate deeper understanding of stewardship and are committed to tithing, fellowship and outreach.

In order to facilitate outreach to all parishioners, the parish has been divided into zones. The stewardship committee listed below is comprised of zone leaders – Captains and Co-captains:

Eddie Alleyne.

The Stewardship Committee meets every second Saturday of the month at 11:00 AM in the church office. Our goal for the immediate future is to be of service to the Church community and to support its members in their witness and faith journey.

This year, the Stewardship Committee’s work included the following areas:

Updating the sick and shut-in list for visitation

Pledges – data entry update

Updated zone directory

Observance of stewardship month

During the month of November committee members shared with the congregation, their unique experience of offering themselves to God as good stewards. Each Sunday at both services a member spoke on the topic: “Why I give my time, talent and treasure to further God’s work through His Church.” Parishioners were invited to share their stories as Stewards of God’s bounty whenever they were so moved.
